Today we had a visit from Yuri and learned how to assemble the Cellbox hardware. Now we can start with the preparations for PRECISE.

Lena's abstract “Spinning Heart: Extracellular Matrix Remodeling Under Simulated Microgravity. Lessons Learnt from RPM Experiments" was selected by the International Society for Gravitational Physiology for a presentation at this year's annual meeting in Sapporo (18.-23.05.2025).

Together with the other science teams of the Cellbox-4/-5 ISS missions (2026), we took part in a kickoff workshop at Yuri today.

With today's defense, José has successfully completed his doctoral thesis on “The effects of low shear stress generated in simulated microgravity bioreactors on thyroid cancer cells and endothelial cells, and its role in the multicellular spheroid formation”. Congratulations, Dr. med. José Luis Cortés Sánchez!
